BA Initial Acquisition
This 10-day course is based at Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service headquarters in Eastleigh.
Course Aim
To produce a qualified Trainer for Breathing Apparatus Training and Assessment to undertake BA assessments within the Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Course Objectives:
- MOC Framework, guidance notes, Firewatch, MOC Recovery, ARA’s.
- Planning and supervising training, risk assessments for venues
- Monitoring, positioning and feedback
- Heat induced illnesses
- Student teaching sessions
- Facilities and resource booking
- Chamber walk around and use guidance
- 6 monthly WA
- BEP Familiarisation
- Smoke bin input
- Syndicate Exercise
- Final Exam
